That was the mindset of Yorkton’s Brett Kemp, who scored twice on Friday night and added one assist, leading the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 5-1 win over the Regina Pats before an announced crowd of 4,676 at the Brandt Centre. “It’s a team I’ve grown up watching since I was young,” Kemp said of the Pats. “I obviously wanted to play in this league and now I’m here playing against these guys. I had my family here. They supported me through everything so it was good to have that kind of night.” Regina kept it close early but watched the Oil Kings pull away late en route their fifth straight win (10-7-0-1).
