Image: Ambyint Husky Energy has committed to deploy an AI-driven system for production optimization on all wells in its Rainbow Lake oil and gas field, tech developer Ambyint announced on Tuesday. It’s an expansion of pilot work that Husky said brought it “immediate benefits by achieving a meaningful improvement in well uptime and operating costs.” Ambyint’s technology is designed to autonomously optimize wells to improve production and asset efficiency. Ambyint and Spartan Controls are also jointly exploring additional applications with Husky for collaboration across its western Canada assets and other business units. “Husky is committed to leveraging AI innovations to improve its operations and financial performance, and this project can help us deliver,” vice-president Dick Unsworth said in a statement.
