Christmas Cardio a Go – Go Fundraiser

Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer globally for both men and woman? The Libin Cardiovascular Institute was established in 2003 and is the largest heart institute in western Canada. It was sparked by a philanthropic collaboration between a grateful patient and the head of the Department of Cardiology.

You may be unaware, but I (Dennis Ranks) am also a grateful patient of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute. In June of 2022, I had some serious heart issues and the outcome seemed bleak. Since I lived in a small town, the local medical center was not set up with the expertise I required. After one assessment at the Foothills Medical Centre, I was referred to the Libin Cardiovascular Institute the very next day. If that hadn’t happened, chances are I would not be here today, organizing an amazing evening of music and fun to raise funds for the Libin Cardiovascular Institute.

The Alberta Oil Patch supports one another. We are one big family! I have the capacity to help someone who helped me, and that is what families do! Let’s get out and support a great cause! Let’s support local musicians, have fun, and raise some much-needed funds to support the greatest needs of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute. You will never know when one of our own families will need the Libin Cardiovascular Institute.
