RECONCILIATION AND PARTNERSHIP

LNG projects have provided an opportunity for industry and First Nations communities to advance toward reconciliation, but with much work yet to do. There remain challenges between industry and First Nations communities in the areas of procurement, employment and training, and the environment, but there have also been many success stories to share and learn from.
LEADERSHIP AND INVESTMENT

How to get projects to FID is still a burning question, and reigniting investor interest in Canadian projects is a priority for the sector. Securing long-term buyers that are well placed to service the growing Asian demand for cleaner natural gas to replace coal. As the world scrambles for gas, Canada can take a leadership position as a globally responsible producer of geopolitically stable natural gas.
