Blue Sky Resources is private Oil and Gas company with operations in Alberta and BC. We are growing at a rapid pace and are currently recruiting for an Exploitation Engineer to work out of our Calgary corporate office. This position will report to our VP, Engineering & Exploration.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and develop exploitation opportunities and reservoir depletion strategies
• Evaluate and optimize the appraisal and development strategies for any conventional exploration assets
• Evaluate existing land for exploration opportunities and provide recommendation on the completion and re-completion of existing and new wells
• Reservoir performance evaluations and economic analysis and evaluations
• Focus on increasing recovery factors through infill drilling, water flood optimization and improved technology
• Forecast future production volumes, prepare capital budgets, and annual reserves for existing producing wells
• Providing technical recommendations & economic evaluation for reactivations, recompletions, waterflood pool optimization and new drill locations
• Ensure relevant regulatory and environmental requirements are included in the depletion and development plans for the asset
• Well reviews and profitability assessments
• Maintain accurate company reserve bookings
• Maintain and update monthly and annual production forecasts and provide input into budget
• Assist Joint Venture department with assessment of non-operated drilling, workovers and production
• Provide engineering support to Business Development when evaluating acquisitions
• Communicate and present project updates and technical evaluation to management

Qualifications include:

• A P.Eng. with 10+ years of experience
• Detailed understanding of geologic concepts in relation to Exploitation & Reservoir Engineering
• Proficiency in Value Navigator, GeoScout, Avocet,
• Experience in plays such as the Montney and Cardium, would be considered an asset
