As the worst of Hurricane Irma seems to be over, the storm has left a ton of destruction in its wake. Caribbean islands were hit the hardest, with most of the storm-related deaths. The prospect is grim to rebuild.

According to speculations, Irma could cost the US economy $290 billion, after Florida was in the path of the storm. Only five people have been reported dead in Florida, compared to 23 in 1992 during Hurricane Andrew.

Over 90 percent of buildings and vehicles were destroyed in Barbuda, along with St. Martin which saw 13 people dead. Four died in the U.S. Virgin Islands, five in the British Virgin Islands, three in Puerto Rico and one person in Anguilla.

Cuban state media reported Monday that Irma killed at least 10 people, with staggering damage along the northern cost.
